How GlobalLink Web Proxy Works

The website you created in your native language is the origin site. The GlobalLink Web Proxy® Platform uses the origin site to process each request for the localized site. Each origin-site page is translated by the GlobalLink Web Proxy platform and delivered to the client browser that requested it. The localized website requires little support overhead for your web team and ensures brand consistency across your target markets.

The Traditional Browser Flow

  • The browser requests a non-translated (origin) page.
  • The origin server responds with the requested page.
  • The browser receives a response, and displays the page to the user.

The Proxy Based Flow

  • The browser requests a translated page from the GlobalLink Web proxy.
  • The GlobalLink Web proxy requests the origin-site page from the origin server.
  • The origin server responds with the requested page.
  • The proxy parses and translates the page based on localization rules defined by the GlobalLink Web proxy.
  • The proxy responds to the browser with the localized page.
  • The browser receives a response, and displays the localized page to the user.
