GlobalLink Web Proxy API (OTX)

The GlobalLink Web Proxy API (OTX) allows you to access the translations stored in your Translation Repository in real time. You can use these translations for content such as emails, mobile apps, XML, and other third-party products and data stores.

The GlobalLink Web Proxy API is used for general purpose real-time translation that can deliver proxy results to applications otherwise unavailable for standard proxy. A call to the GlobalLink Web Proxy API looks up already translated content residing in OneLink TM and returns the translation in the language requested.

The GlobalLink Web Proxy API leverages the following components of GlobalLink Web Proxy:

  • Real-time parsing of web related mime types (HTML, XML, JS, JSON, etc.).
  • Real-time TM lookups for segment-/sentence-level replacements from the source language to the target language.
  • Ability to markup source content with GlobalLink Web Proxy classes to prevent specific content from being translated.
  • Ability to capture segments that are missing from the TM and backfill with real-time machine translation.
  • Fast, scalable processing time in milliseconds.
