Prerendering on Shopify

Websites built on Shopify will require a custom solution in order to utilize GlobalLink Web's Prerendering service. Shopify users do not have the ability to implement the necessary traffic sorting logic on Shopify's CDN.

For Shopify deployments, GlobalLink Web handles the traffic sorting on a custom instance of CloudFront before the request hits Shopify's CDN. CloudFront performs two functions: the first classifies the traffic (as bot or non-bot), the second serves up the prerendered page if the requester is a bot.

In order to utilize Prerendering on Shopify, three requirements must be met:

1 - You must use a domain or subdomain deployment for your language websites.

2 - You must point your language domains or subdomains in DNS to GlobalLink Web's custom instance of CloudFront.

3 - You must provide valid CERTS for all language domains.
