GlobalLink Web API Blocks and Segments
Blocks are an economy created for the browser. Segments are how everything happens on the server endpoints. Blocks are sent back and forth between the browser and our endpoints. With the GlobalLink Web API, the browser is not involved. There is no need for blocks and no need for block_hashes.
The new GlobalLink Web API segments (i.e., isolates blocks in content that comes in), but those blocks are not uniquely hashed and stored. The normalization rules are identical as the identifying segment hashes computed and stored in the server endpoints must remain consistent.
