Accessibility
A measure of how accessible a computer system is to everyone, including those with disabilities or impairments. It involves special tagging, font size, and font contrasts.
Application Program Interface (API)
A set of functions and procedures that assist in creating applications that access the features or data of an operating system, application, or other services. GlobalLink Web uses its own restful cloud-accelerated set of Translation APIs.
Bleeding
Unlocalized content that appears on a page should be localized.
In Context Review (ICR)
A way of reviewing content while the content is in the context, such as on the site or page.

A branch of TransPerfect.com, which specializes in translating and managing websites.
OnPage Editor (OPE)
TransPerfect’s plugin-based in-context editor tool.
Pretranslation
The GlobalLink Web tool decreases the time it takes to build a localized page.
Project Key
A 16-character unique identifier for a created XAPIS project.
Scope
The content that should be localized. In-scope content is translated, and the out-of-scope is not altered.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The process of growing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a webpage to users of a web search engine.
Segments
A leverageable translation unit. A segment is a portion of a text block (if the text block contains multiple sentences). E.g.., the text block “About Us” has one segment. The text block, “We have been producing widgets since 1921. We are the best in the industry.” has two segments.
Text Block
A text node is a collection of translatable text nodes or HTML attributes.
Translation Key
A unique identifier that specifies the language, project, and GlobalLink Web configuration.
User Key
A unique key identifies the user and loads the correct configuration and language parameters.
