What is GlobalLink Web?
GlobalLink Web is a JavaScript-based website localization solution that delivers fully translated website experiences to your global markets. GlobalLink Web is a fully managed solution backed by dedicated support teams around the globe.
Your browser will request the localized content from GlobalLink Web's cloud-based translation endpoints. The content is then collected and replaced by translations (Human or AI-based) on the page. GlobalLink Web logic optimizes performance and statistically drives delivery.
The GlobalLink Web Localization Cycle
Step 1: Collect & Quote
GlobalLink Web collects content directly from the browser and crawls it by building each page and analyzing its contents. The content is sent through accelerated cloud endpoints to a centralized database for translation. A centralized user interface (UI) controls the crawler and scoping1 rules and summarizes word counts and statistics.
Step 2: Translation
GlobalLink Web exports content directly to translation tools. The content goes through the production processes of the world's largest translation service company, utilizing the translation method(s) of your choice. A Translation Memory (TM) stores the localized content, where statistically generated Pretranslate leverage optimizes performance and reduces translation time and costs.
Step 3: Post Localization Testing (PLT)
After completing the translation, the content is reviewed in context, and final edits are completed. The site is tested in-language for functionality and formatting, and updates are made to ensure optimal look and feel of the translated site. Client subject matter expert (SME) review is also recommended at this point, allowing for edits to be made using our in context editor OPE2. All updated translations are stored in TM for future use.
Step 4: Deliver
The final step is to inject a single line of JavaScript code into the origin site, making the translations appear. This one-time step is the only integration required, and the origin site performs a single action. GlobalLink Web passively collects performance data and metrics and listens to the page for dynamic changes or interactive content. GlobalLink Web will then proceed through the Localization Cycle again as necessary.
